Our engagements / accomplishments  in assisting businesses as an out-sourced Chief Financial Officer or Controller include many of the engagements listed on other pages in this section.  The reader is also referred to Mr. Goldman's resume, which details out more accomplishments as a financial officer for both growing and distresses companies over a fourteen year period.  Recent engagements that do not fit into the Planning, Financing, Bankruptcy, or Tax categories include:

  • Full accounting services for three subsidiaries of a foreign corporation, including cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Full accounting services for a manufacturer and retailer of kitchen furniture.

  • Cash forecasting and management for a number of clients.
  • Temporary accounting assistance for closing the books, preparing for audit, or other special projects.
  • Assistance to numerous small businesses in installing or more efficiently using small business accounting packages.
  • Negotiating ownership issues in both the formation and dissolution of partnership agreements.
  • Valuations of two small businesses in two separate divorce proceedings.
  • Internal Control training to division controllers of a $500 million publicly held manufacturer.
  • Assisted with the installation of a new computer system and the development of internal controls for a company that was acquired by new owners.
  • Retained to provide management consulting to a family-owned single-store $1.7 million retailer experiencing on-going solvency problems.
  • Assisted with the renegotiation of debt, cash flow management, and development of a reporting system for a company that was acquired by new owners.
  • Assisted a $10 million nursing agency in work-out negotiations with its creditors, consolidation of cash-flow negative operations, preparing the company for sale, and preparing the company for due dilligence.
  • Assisted with cash management for a $60 million importer of household funishings
  • Appointed as Interim CFO in pre-bankruptcy planning and restructuring as a Chapter 11 debtor-in-possession for a $300 million telecom company.
  • Appointed as Chief Restructuring Officer for a $30 million technology recycling company.
  • Appointed as Interim CFO for a $25 million auto parts maker in Chapter 11
